Tamar Chameides (b. 2003) is a printmaker from Los Angeles, California. She is currently completing her BFA in Printmaking at the Rhode Island School of Design, while also engaging with film studies at Brown University. Her practice revolves around the mystery of form and the evocative power of suggestion. Through etching, drawing, and moving image, she explores how subtle shifts in process can alter perception and meaning. Tamar is drawn to the in-between—spaces where material, image, and narrative slip out of definition yet remain charged with presence. Recently, she has been working with themes of fluidity and fracture, considering how fragments hold both disruption and continuity. Her work reflects a sustained curiosity about the possibilities of print as both object and language, and about the ways repetition and variation can create resonance across mediums.
